The mountain was large and beautiful against the pink sky. The sun was going down at the moment and the sight was breath-taking. At the foot of the mountain, a little house stood. Its roof was a dark blue and the house itself was the color of the morning sky. A pale blue. Trees surrounded the little house, leaving open a medium sized yard. Inside, a girl sat, her yellow eyes drifting from side to side, her fingers flipping a page of a book every once in a while. She sat in the living room. It had tan walls with dark tan furniture. She sat on the couch, her legs tucked under her comfortably.

On her roof she heard a loud "pow" along with a loud "awwwhhhh" that slowly faded into a whimper. Kei had been climbing down the mountain when his energy ran out on him. He wasn't to high up, and the last thing he wanted to do was hit this house, but it was hopeless. This hurt alot. " Damn mountain goats and your climbing skills making me lazy when climbing mountains." Kei had been forced to release the eyesight and agility at the same time.

At the sound of something hitting the roof, Kohana jumped slightly, startled from her imagination. She closed the book and hurried to the second foor, where there was a ladder leading to the roof. She had installed the ladder when she moved in, since she enjoyed sitting up there. She climbed up and onto the roof, only to stop at the sight of the man laying on his back. She went to him and knelt down, looking him over quickly to see if he had any open wounds. "Sir?" She spoke softly, so she wouldn't startle him with her sudden appearance.

Kei said" Oh wow that hurt." He sorta let out some contorted smile of both pain and a smile, as best he could. He said" Nice to meet you, I'm... who am I?" Kei had taken a few seconds but nothing would come up. Kei put his hand on his head in pain trying to remember. He tried to come up with a reason for it all. His side hurt to, as drops of blood were coming out of it from a cut there. It hurt to even sit up and try to think, and with this his mind was lost at the moment.

She could tell he was in a lot of pain. She took hold of his arm and put it over her shoulder and she gently lifted him as best she could. He was heavy for her, but she was able to get him down the ladder and into the house. "Sir, you'll be fine." She said as she carried him to the closest room. It was small and had a pale red wallpaper with flower designs on them. A canopy bed stood in the middle, there, Kohana lay the man on the bed, trying to make him comfortable. "I'll be right back." She said as she hurried away to find her first-aid kit.

Kei after a few moments released his duster was ripped, and the claws were almost sticking out. He took every once of effort he could to get it off. He looked around, not a single animal, or bug, or anything was around for him to try and fix himself up to move with again. After a moment or two he laid back, not by his choice, and his eyes kept barely open.

After Kohana had gotten the supplies, she hurried back to the man. She looked him over before she sat on the edge of the bed. "Sir, I'm going to need to move your shirt out of the way so I could tend to your wound. Is that ok?" Kohana didn't want to do anything that might make him uncomfortable, so she thought it polite to ask before action.

Kei said" Yea" Deep hard breath" that should be fine." He breathed in two more times deeply and said" When you get the chance, there is a caravan in town, "Huff Huff,"go there, get the bowl with the starfish in it."

She looked at him oddly, curious as to why he wanted the starfish, but she didn't say anything about it. She moved his shirt out of the way enough so she could apply ointment and bandages to the wound. When she was done mending him, she sat the supplies to the side and sighed softly. "I'll be back, sir." She smiled warmly to him, hoping to ease him a bit. "I'm going to the town to get your starfish." She said as she walked to the door. She opened it and paused inside the doorway. She looked back at him. "I'm Kohana by the way." She then shut the door and went to the front door. She put her shoes on and then she was outside, going to the back, where her car was. She took off to the town, going to where he indicated.

Kei started to laugh a little. He hoped she hurried to town. Starfish had regeneration properties and didn't need part of their bodies to live. Most of them really.
He decided he would tell her his name when he got back. Kei breathed in deeply and made his way over to his claws to hide them better.

She took a good hour in getting the starfish, but she found it. She had hurried home and parked her car on the side of the house, not really worried about locking it. She now hurried to the room. She opened it and peaked in, in a way that said she expected him not to be there. She opened it all the way at seeing him though. She held out the starfish to him when she got close enough, smiling slightly. "Here you go." She said as she handed the tiny creature over.

Kei said" Thank you, but you will have to advert your eyes. This is not a fun looking process. By the way, I am Kei" He looked at her waiting for her to turn around. This really was a disgusting looking process.

She frowned slightly, not sure what he meant. She walked to the door, and stood with her back to him.

Kei activated his powers. It wasn't loud or anything, this would just take up a lot of energy of his, and it looked disgusting seeing it heal up on it's own. He feel on one knee when the process was done, breathing heavy, the wound was gone and he was back to normal, but he would be eating a lot next time he got his hands on food. The regeneration of it all was quite and ugly process, but worth it in the end. He said" It is okay to look now" In his deep breathing. He smiled and said" That always sucks to do." He held out the starfish to have it returned to his bowl.

She stared at him quietly, not quite sure what to say about this power. She took the starfish and placed it back in the bowl gently. She then turned back to him and frowned. "What are you?" She asked softly. This was her first time seeing such powers.
